Itinerary
Departure from Funchal
Your adventure begins in Funchal, where you’ll hop into your private buggy and meet your expert guide. After a short safety briefing, we’ll set off on an exciting ride through the city’s vibrant streets.
Avenida do Mar – A Scenic Coastal Drive
We start by cruising along Avenida do Mar, a beautiful waterfront avenue lined with palm trees, restaurants, and historic buildings. You’ll enjoy stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and Funchal’s marina.
Old Town (Zona Velha) – A Journey Through History
We’ll then explore Zona Velha, the charming Old Town of Funchal, known for its colorful painted doors, traditional Portuguese architecture, and lively atmosphere. This is one of the most culturally rich areas of the city.
Stop at Mercado dos Lavradores – The Farmer’s Market
Our first stop is at Mercado dos Lavradores, a bustling farmers’ market where locals sell fresh fruits, flowers, and Madeira’s famous exotic produce. Take a short break to walk around, take photos, and experience the island’s flavors.
Miradouro do Socorro – A Secret Viewpoint
Leaving the city center, we head up to Miradouro do Socorro, a lesser-known but breathtaking viewpoint overlooking Funchal’s bay. This is a fantastic spot for photos!
Miradouro Vila Guida – Panoramic City Views
We continue to Miradouro Vila Guida, where you’ll get a panoramic view of Funchal’s landscape, from the red rooftops to the ocean. A perfect place to admire the island’s beauty.
Pináculo – Spectacular Clifftop Views
Next, we visit Pináculo, a viewpoint perched on a cliff that offers one of the most dramatic coastal views in Madeira. From here, you can see the deep blue ocean meeting the green cliffs.
Cristo Rei in Garajau – A Must-See Landmark
One of the highlights of our tour is a stop at the famous Cristo Rei statue in Garajau. This towering Christ statue stands on a cliffside and offers breathtaking views over the ocean. You’ll have time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Zona das Neves – A Hidden Gem
After Cristo Rei, we take a scenic route through Zona das Neves, a peaceful hilltop area with incredible panoramic views of the entire bay of Funchal.
Miradouro do Palheiro Ferreiro – The Grand Finale
Our last stop is Miradouro do Palheiro Ferreiro, a viewpoint known for its incredible views over Funchal and the surrounding mountains. The perfect way to end this unforgettable adventure.
Return to Funchal
We’ll then drive back to the starting point, where your tour concludes. You’ll leave with amazing memories and complimentary GoPro photos to relive your buggy adventure!
